About Us

What is National Philanthropy Day?

This day is for YOU, our donors, our volunteers and our fundraisers. NPD celebrates the endless daily contributions that individuals and organizations across the world make to countless causes and missions.

NPD is planned and organized by a committee of the AFP Greater Cincinnati Chapter.

The NPD Committee's role is to plan, promote, and execute the annual awards event with diligence and distinction. Thank you to our outstanding 2020 National Philanthropy Day Planning Committee, who showed resilience, perseverance and creativity as we planned our chapter's first-ever virtual NPD, and during a pandemic! We are incredibly grateful for their time, heart, talent and tireless dedication this year.

A Message From Our President, Rachel Kirley

New Faces of Fundraising

New Faces of Fundraising is designed to introduce diverse participants to the field of non-profit fundraising. The program was created by the Greater Cincinnati Chapter of AFP and is funded by The Greater Cincinnati Foundation.

Participants of the New Faces program become members of AFP and benefit from the guidance of a mentor. The culmination of the program ends in a 200-hour paid internship with a local non-profit where they will gain meaningful, hands on experience.

This year, a portion of ticket sales from NPD will support the New Faces of Fundraising program to help expand the number of paid internships available. Your support of this program is vitally important and helps build a diverse candidate pool that reflects the unique composition of our nation’s population so that organizations can proactively serve the interests and needs of every donor.
